Tech @CEA LIST: Tech Day 2016

The Tech Day 2016, which is an annual event, organized by List, a CEA Tech Institute was held on March 17, 2016, at CEA Paris-Saclay campus at Nano-INNOV. It brought in more than 500 attendees and focused on the topic related to "the future of manufacturing".

With the rise of the 4th Industrial revolution, both the academia and industry are looking forward to address issues like "how to leverage digital technologies to modernize production equipment and processes", and "what support companies will need as they navigate this transformation" to name a few. These questions fall into the category related to the topic of the "Factories of the Future (FoF)" and it was the topic of focus of the Tech Day 2016.

For me, it was a great opportunity to take part in this event. Our lab had presented several demos on this day and I was involved in the LEGO Car Factory Demo. This demo consisted of Lego EV3 robots and illustrated a miniature "smart & connected" factory.

As a 1st year Ph.D. student, I had done some experiments on EV3 robots and that helped me to understand the mechanism of the demo and be of some help to the organizers from my lab.

In addition, later I was so happy and thanked my lucky when I saw that my picture was posted on the official CEA LIST blog about the CEA Tech Day 2016.
